Visit Leuchtenburg Castle

At 400 m above the valley, Leuchtenburg Castle is one of the most beautiful hilltop castles in Germany. Its originality and almost completely preserved historical complex make it unique. Double walls, moats and defensive towers, armor, swords and deep dungeons bring times long past back to life. The breathtaking panoramic view from the keep is also unique – you can even see the Thuringian Forest and the Harz Mountains.
